1064. 1960 Bill Russell All-Star Game-Used All-Star Jersey & Shorts (2) The Celtics' goateed soul and inspiration pulled down 51 rebounds in one game, 49 in another, and had a dozen consecutive seasons of 1,000 boards or more. And yet stats (including 21,620 career rebounds and a 15.5 scoring average) don't do justice to Bill Russell's legend as much as his leadership qualities which helped win 11 NBA titles for the Green in 13 years. The spidery, 6-10 Russell relied more on positioning and anticipation than brawn, and his cat-like ability to block a shot made countless shooters change or abort their shots. The 1960 All-Star Game in Philadelphia was one of 12 Russell played in, finishing with 8 rebounds and 6 points in the East's 125-115 victory, a game marked by rookie Wilt Chamberlain's 23 points and 25 rebounds for the winners. Over the next nine seasons, the two gladiators would clash often, with Wilt ringing up numbers and Russell ringing up rings. On the inside front tail of Russell's jersey from the game is the "Wilson" label with the size "44." The player number "6" appears on both the front and back in blue tackle twill. There are 6 red tackle twill stars on both the front and back. Included with the uniform are shorts. Below the waistband is the "Wilson" label with the size "36." The uniform shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
