Stan Humphries was an unlikely hero. Virtually an invisible man for three seasons in Washington, he was traded to the Chargers in 1992 when first-string quarterback John Friesz got hurt. All Humphries did was lead the team into the playoffs for the first time in a decade. Two years later he threw for 3,209 yards and 17 TDs and got them all the way to the Super Bowl before losing to the 49ers. At the base of the "V" neck of the home mesh Chargers jersey is the "NFL" patch. On the left tail is the year tag "94" and next to this is the "Starter" exclusive label with the size tag "50" adjacent. On the back of the jersey is a blue mesh nameplate with the name "Humphries" in white ironed on letters. The player number "12" appears on the front, back, and on each sleeve in white on gold ironed on numbers. On each sleeve is the "Starter" logo and the ironed on white on gold Chargers "Lightning Bolt." On the upper left front is the "NFL 75" anniversary patch. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
