If patience is a virtue, then Steve Bono was a saint. Bono, a backup for 10 seasons with the 49ers behind Joe Montana and Steve Young, finally getting his shot with the Chiefs in ‘95, when he directed the team to an NFL-best 13-3 record and the AFC Western Division crown. He passed for 3,121 yards and 21 TDs with a mere 10 interceptions. This Chiefs red mesh home jersey from Bono's Cinderella season has the "NFL" patch at the base of the "V" neck, and on the left tail is the "Wilson" exclusive label with the size tag "42" below. Next to this is the year tag "95" done in red Swiss embroidered stitch. On the back of the jersey is a red nameplate with the name "Bono." The player number "13" appears on the front, back, and on each sleeve of the jersey. All the letters and numbers are white on gold tackle twill. There is an autograph on the back number "1"in clear black magic marker, rating a near 10. On each shoulder is the Wilson logo. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
