This framed display overall measures 24.5x17”. Inside the display is a 6x8" handbill dated April 18, 1906 from the San Francisco Mayor E.E. Schmitz and in part reads “all Special Police Officers have been authorized by me to KILL any and all persons found engaged in Looting or in the Commission of Any Other Crime”. Also in the display is a picture of the carnage the city dealt with during the earthquake. A unique piece from a historic tragedy.
