This framed display measures in total 22x16” with a typed signed letter measuring approximately 7x9” and photo from President Richard Nixon inside. The note dated August 6, 1971, on White House stationary, reads in part “Last week I had the good fortune to receive one of the first Eisenhower silver dollars and to present one of the new coins … These coins were so impressive that I thought you would like to have an uncirculated specimen. It is one of the first strikes of these special dollar coins and, I think you will agree, is a beautiful example of our Nation’s coinage”. Nixon signed the letter in black steel-tip fountain pen and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. Also included is the 1971 Silver Dollar coin the President mentioned in his letter. Accompanied by a Full LOA from JSA and PSA/DNA.
