A fifth-round draft pick out of obscure Livingstone College in 1991, tight end Ben Coates was a fixture for the Patriots for 9 seasons before signing with the Ravens last season. He was an All-Pro selection from 1994-96 and snared 84 passes and 6 TDs in ‘95, most among NFL tight ends that year. The helmet shows game-use. The "Riddell" label is on the front and on the chin strap and the Patriots' logo is on either side and "Patriots" is on the back under the player number "87." The "NFL" patch is just to the left of the number. There is a recondition sticker on the helmet. It appears to have no other alterations of any kind and comes with an addiitonal letter of authenticity.
