Pete “Pistol” Maravich was the best scorer in college basketball history and his skills translated at the NBA level in a hurry. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team and went on to make two All-NBA First Teams in his career. Maravich led the NBA in scoring in 1977 and was named to the NBA 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. Maravich was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1987. Puma manufactured size “14 1-2” white shoes with green trim. The size tag on the inside of the left shoe reads “4”. Additional handwriting has been added to the tag to read the correct size “14 1-2”. The size tag on the inside of the left shoe reads “14” and the same handwriting has been added to read “14 1-2”. Accompanied by a notarized Pistol Pete stationary sheet signed by Jackie Maravich and a picture of her holding the shoes.
