Charles “Easy Ed” Macauley participated in 7 consecutive NBA All-Star games, including the first ever in 1951 where he was named the All-Star game MVP. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1960 at the age of 32 and still holds the record for youngest male player to be admitted. Inside the rear waistband is the Rawlings manufacturers tag. Attached to the left are two tag reading the size “32” and a “Gisler Hummel” distributors tag. Attached to the right is a tag with washing instructions. Adjacent to the left is a felt strip tag reading “Ed McCauley” embroidered in red chain stitching. Macauley signed the front of the shorts in black marker with the added inscription “H.O.F. ‘60” and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. These shorts are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used and in our opinion show wear. Accompanied by a Macauley family LOA.
