These 1940s vintage New York Giants helmets feature suspension padding on the inside that is intact as well as the original chin straps. The player name “PASCHAL” and player number “8” are handwritten on the inside of one and inside the other also has handwriting that is illegible. The red and blue leather helmets show expected vintage condition issues including cracking throughout, discoloration and material loss present. Our consignor’s father was a sportswriter for the N.Y. Journal American and became good friends with the New York Giants staff. When helmets needed to be replaced the equipment staff would gift them to him and tell him who the helmets belonged to.
