Bill Forrester played eleven years in the NFL and all of them as a Green Bay Packer. He was drafted by the Packers in 1953 out of Southern Methodist University and witnessed the birth of the Packer dynasty when coach Lombardi joined Green Bay in 1959. Forrester became part of the greatest dynasty in football history as the Packer's went on to win five NFL titles in the 1960s. Playing alongside HOF linebacker, Ray Nitschke, Bill Forrester would earn All-Pro honors in 1962 and helped the Packers win their second consecutive championship. This Green Bay Packers helmet was worn by Bill Forrester during the late `50's. The helmet is yellow with two tin green lines down the center. A 1/4 inch raised piece of protective plastic runs from front to back on the center of the helmet. The Green Bay "G" logo appears on both sides of the helmet. On the back is the "Riddell" trademark and the words "Kra-lite". The suspension helmet has all original padding. The left ear pad has deteriorated and it is missing the face mask. The helmet shows great use. A letter from Forrester accompanies this piece.
