The Detroit Lions' salad years coincided with the Eisenhower administration, winning NFL titles in 1952, ‘53 and ‘57, all against the mighty Cleveland Browns. While Bobby Layne and Doak Walker got most of the pub, no one was more valuable than Jim Martin, a jack-of-all-trades who played linebacker, defensive end, tackle, guard and was the team's placekicker from 1951-61. This classic Lions dureen jersey was worn by Martin circa 1958. On the inside back tail is the "Griswold" label, adjacent to the size tag "48." The player number "47" appears on the front, back and on each sleeve in gray tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
