The magnificent jacket has history written all over it, bearing the name of the Cleveland Browns and dating back to 1949 or 1950. This was a crucial time frame in the development of the pro game, as it was after the ‘49 season that the Browns, who had dominated the All-America Football Conference, moved into the NFL and proceeded to win the Eastern Conference title seven straight years and the league crown in ‘50, ‘54 and ‘55. The chocolate brown, wool jacket was owned by Darrel Palmer, a two-way tackle with the team from 1949-53, and it's virtually flawless in its color and condition. The "O'Shea" label is in the neck and the "Browns" is stitched into the upper back in large orange letters. The player number "42" is stitched into the upper left sleeve in orange..The trimming around the neck and bottom is orange and white. There is little if any damage of any kind on this rare jacket, which comes with a letter of authenticity from Palmer.
