Pete “Pistol” Maravich was the best scorer in college basketball history and his skills translated at the NBA level in a hurry. Maravich was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1987. Inside the rear waistband of the shorts is the Sand-Knit manufacturers tag size “36” with washing instructions. Handwritten on this tag is the player number “44” in black marker. Adjacent to the right is a blank strip tag. Team piping is around the waist and down the trim. These shorts are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used and attributed to Pete Maravich and in our opinion show use.
