Sleek and silvery Dave Bing ran the court with such ease that he would lull defenders to sleep before shredding them with his deadly jump shot or inside drives. A Syracuse All-American, the 6-foot-3 Bing was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in 1966. He won Rookie of the Year honors that season. The next season, he led the NBA with a 27.1 average. After eight seasons in Motown, Bing was traded to the Washington Bullets and in 1975-76, the first of two seasons in D.C., he turned the team into contenders and was named MVP of the All-Star Game. This two-piece Bullets warm-up outfit worn by Bing that season is easily identifiable to veteran NBA fans by the flag-inspired red, white and blue striping on the top, which also has a white star on each sleeve, Bing's number "21" is on the lower right and the Bullets' logo on the lower left. The size 36 drawstring pants are solid blue.
