Maurice Podoloff was the first President of the NBA and also President of the American Hockey League and Basketball Association of America. During his tenure he introduced the 24 second shot clock which forever changed the game. In 1974, Podoloff was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and in 2011 was inducted into the American Hockey League Hall of Fame. This typed signed letter on American Hockey League paper is dated October 22, 1942 and in part reads “I am pleased to hand you herewith two mimeographed copies of our schedule”. Podoloff signed on the appropriate area in blue ink and in our opinion the signature rates a near 9. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
