The daily struggles faced by the defunct ABA are reflected in this interesting lot of papers from the league's office. Among the items is a signed 1970 deposition by Commissioner Jack Dolph seeking to enjoin Connie Hawkins from jumping to the NBA, a signed document by Commissioner Mike Storen terminating a marketing agreement to license the red, white and blue ABA ball, an ad that had been part of that sales campaign, and signed letters by Storen, Carolina Cougars president Carl Scheer on team stationery, and ABA players union president Zelmo Beaty. There is also a 1974 memorandum granting ownership of the new Memphis Sounds (who lasted one season), signed by yet another Commissioner, Ted Munchak. All documents are in excellent condition.
