Lou Gehrig was a paragon of strong, silent, All-American virtues. In a 17-year career he racked up a .340 average, 493 homers and 1,990 RBIs. Gehrig's undeniable charm comes through in this hand-written note that reads, "To Harriet, with kindest regards, Lou Gehrig." Written in blue fountain pen and rating a near perfect 10. It is preserved under glass in a 12" x 13" wood frame with a gold inner border.
