Interest in Roger Maris was renewed when Mark McGwire bettered Maris' then-single season record of 61 home runs, as well as by the movie "61." Ironically, Maris-signed items are more valuable now than they were back when he hit those 61 dingers in 1961, and one of the better Maris signatures appears on this 8" x 10" b&w photo of Maris standing at home plate, bat down by his side, watching one of those moon shots fly into the night sky. He signed the middle area of the photo, "Lots of luck, Roger Maris," in black ink and the strong signature rates a near 10. The photo is in excellent condition and mounted in a black frame.
