If the Yankees look a bit distracted in this 1952 team photo, it's only because the Bombers were on a run of five straight world championships from 1949 to 1953, and these king-of-the-hill shots had become a bore. Still, 1952 was pivotal year. The very young-looking Mick is in the back row in the 11" x 14" photo framed under glass in this lot, along with an 8" x 12" cut sheet with high-quality signatures of 12 Yankees, including Mantle and fellow HOFers Casey Stengel, Yogi Berra, Phil Rizzuto, and Johnny Mize, as well as Ed Lopat, Vic Raschi, Hank Bauer, Spec Shea, Johnny Sain and Bill Miller, and a used ticket stub from the 1952 World Series. All items are in excellent condition and are contained in a 20" x 25" frame.
