This magnificent OAL MacPhail ball nobly wears the legacy of Thurman Munson, the hustling New York Yankee catcher. Because Munson was a throwback to the days when ballplayers were marked by the dirt on their uniforms, and because his life was cut short in the crash of his private plane in 1979, the ball evokes both great inspiration and great sadness. Munson's signature is in blue pen on the sweet spot, rating a near perfect 10 and perhaps one of the nicest Munson singles we've ever seen.
