These two vintage photos are stark reminders that baseball glory can be fleeting. One is a rare 10 1/2" x 13" shot of arguably three of the best hitters of all time, Ty Cobb, Shoeless Joe Jackson and Nap Lajoie. Later, the 1919 "Black Sox" World Series gambling scandal led to Jackson's lifetime ban from the game and the Hall of Fame. (Ironically, Cobb was accused of throwing a game in 1926 but never paid a price.) The other photo is a 10" x 13" of Babe Ruth throwing a ball around as a Brooklyn Dodger coach during the bittersweet 1938 season, which became his last in the game when the Dodgers would not let him manage. Both excellent condition photos are handsomely framed
