Bill Walton is synonymous with winning when it comes to the sport of basketball. After winning two Division I national titles at UCLA while earning the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player, Walton did more of the same at the NBA level. He won his first NBA championship in 1977 while earning NBA Finals MVP, and won another NBA title in 1986 while earning NBA Sixth Man of the Year. Enshrined in the National Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993. On the inside right button path of the jacket is the “Sand-Knit” manufacturer’s tag with size “44”. Adjacent is the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the BOSTON CELTICS” tag. Across the front is “CELTICS” painted on in green block letters with a yellow border. On each shoulder is a shamrock in the same paint configuration. The player name “WALTON” appears on the back in white tackle twill on a green nameplate. Walton signed the back of the jacket in black and in our opinion the signature rates a 9. Inside the rear waistband of the pants is the Sand-Knit manufacturer’s tag size “38” with an adjacent tag reading “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the BOSTON CELTICS”. The player number “5” is handwritten on this tag in black marker. The player number “5” appears on the right thigh in green tackle twill. Walton signed next to this in black marker and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. The pants have been re-issued from a prior season which used to be player number "50" but the "0" has been removed for Walton. This warm-up suit is properly tagged, was presented to us as player-worn and shows wear. Accompanied by two PSA/DNA LOAs.
