Elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1954 Bill Terry was not only one of the games premier first basemen but also the last National League player to hit over .400 in 1941. Terry also holds the modern National League record for a left hander with a career average of .341. This die cut display piece from the Barry Halper collection features Terry endorsing "Twenty Grand" cigarettes and is signed along the bottom edge "To Barry Best Wishes Wm H (Bill) Terry". The signature and inscription rate a near 10. The piece itself measures 9" by 12" and is in VG-EX condition with some light discoloration due to age and little edge wear. There is one small half inch tear in the piece that hardly detracts from the eye appeal of the display.
