In 1934, Detroit Tigers won 101 games in the regular season winning the AL pennant by seven games over the NY Yankees. The World Series pitted the Tigers against 30 game winner Dizzy and 19 game winner Paul Dean of the St. Louis Cardinals. The Dean brothers proved to be too much for the Tigers as they fell to the Cards. This collection includes 15 original wire photos of the 1934 AL Champions, the Detroit Tigers. Names include: Gerald Walker, Pete Fox, Henry Schuble, Ralph Cy Perkins, Joe White, Carl Fischer, Alvin Crowder, Del Baker, Luke Hamlin (2), Flea Clifton, Frank Doljack, Marvin Owen, Clarence Phillips and Bill Rogell. All the black & white photos are 5" x 7" except for one photo of Hamlin which is 7" x 9". All photos are in excellent condition.
