Hall of Famer Dan Issel became just the 8th player to score 25,000 points on October 28th, 1983 in a 139-125 victory over the Utah Jazz. Issel recorded a double-double scoring 34 points and added 13 rebounds in the contest. The offered basketball is the actual ball Issel used to score the milestone point. Spalding manufactured “Official Game Ball” with “DENVER NUGGETS” stamped on a panel and a commissioner’s signature stamp on another with a great vintage look and feel. Five handwritten “X” letters are handwritten on the ball in black marker. Issel signed the ball in black marker with the added inscription “10/28/83 Nuggets v Jazz 25,000 point game” and in our opinion the signature rates a near 10. Also included is a wooden stand with an engraved plate reading “DAN ISSEL - NBA - 1983 8TH PLAYER TO SCORE 25,000 POINTS”. Accompanied by an Issel LOA and a Full JSA LOA.
