Ruth was the greatest sports hero of his day and adored by throngs of young fans. Esso created a Babe Ruth Boys Club in which the member received a 1-1/2" metal "baseball" badge reading "Babe Ruth Boys Club". One of the benefits of being a member was being able to enter this contest to win a Babe Ruth fielder's glove, a Ruth autographed baseball or a trip to his Spring Training Camp. This contest form measures 4" x 6", has a perforation 2-1/2" down from the top to separate the stub to be retained and the portion to be handed in. The contest form and badge are in excellent condition.
