Frank “Home Run” Baker was a three-time World Series Champion and was the home run champ of the American League for four consecutive seasons from 1911-1914. In what we now refer to as the dead-ball era, Baker had six seasons with a .300+ batting average and was the two-time AL RBI Champion. Baker was a .307 lifetime hitter and was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955. This is the oldest home run baseball we have had the pleasure of offering. The ball has been hand painted black with gold relief. A side panel reads “BAKER’S HOME RUN BALL 1911”. Considering its age, the ball is in great overall condition. Normal cracking and minor condition issues you would expect are visible however the paint is almost fully intact. This ball was sourced from an out of the hobby family that has kept it in their possession.
