Fernando Tatis Jr. is one of baseball’s biggest rising stars and is considered to be the future face of the game by many. Since his rookie season and year of this jersey in 2019, Tatis Jr. has displayed power, unlimited range at the shortstop position and electrifying plays all over the field. During his first 100 career games, he posted a .320 batting average with 30 home runs and 70 RBIs. Those numbers are better than Mike Trout and Alex Rodriguez during their first 100 games. Tatis ranks first or second in every major offensive category when it comes to a player’s first 100 games in a Padres uniform. On the front left tail is the Majestic manufacturer’s tag size “46”. On the left inseam is a flag tag with jersey materials and washing instructions and on the bottom right button path is an additional Majestic tag reading “#23 TATIS JR. 2019 46C S4”. On the left sleeve is a Padres team logo patch with a Majestic logo embroidered beneath. On the right sleeve is the Padres “50” anniversary patch and a “MLB 150” patch. Across the chest reads “PADRES” and across the back is the player name “TATIS JR.”. Adjacent below the player name is the player number “23”. All numbering and lettering is done in blue on white tackle twill. On the back collar is the official “MLB” logo. Tatis signed the back player number “2” in silver marker and in our opinion rates an 8. Below the signature is a MLB hologram serial number “VS198611” which authenticates the signature only to a Topps signing held in 2020. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
