Christmas came in October for fans of "Dem Bums" in 1955, and the official Christmas card from the team marked a most joyous one. The card features on the front, two illustrations of the ring earned by the Dodgers when they slew the Yankees to give Brooklyn its only championship. In one image Santa hoists the ring while the other has a top view of the bauble held up by the New Year baby. The inside of the near mint condition, 5" x 7" card has a team picture of the champs and the back lists some memorable Dodger events from the past year. The old slogan is now given a new meaning: "Wait 'til Next Year!"
