In one of the worst trades in Cubs History, Lou Brock was sent to the St. Louis Cardinals in a six man deal. Arriving in St.Louis in June of 1964, Brock hit .350 during the Cardinals stretch drive and helped the Cardinals beat the New York Yankees in the World Series. Brock shattered Maury Wills single-season stolen bases record of 104 when he stole 118 in 1974. Brock was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1985. Pictured here are three items autographed by HOF Lou Brock. A Baseball Writers Association of America (New York Chapter) check made out to Lou Brock for the sum of $133 dollars has been endorsed by Brock in black ball-point pen and rates a 9. A pair of Lou Brock endorsed Converse sneakers with his name and the number "18" sewn into the side and back of the sneakers has been autographed by Brock in black sharpie on the rubber front of both sneakers and both signatures rate 7s. The last item is a multi-colored "broccabrella" from the New York Press Photographers Association which has been signed by Brock in black sharpie rating a 8.
