One of the greatest managers in the history of baseball, George Anderson is the third winningest manager of all time, falling behind only Mack and McGraw and remains the only manager to win Championships in both leagues. In 2000, Sparky was honored for his achievements with induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Prior to his managerial career, Anderson tried his hand at playing baseball having been signed right out of high school by the Dodgers. This contract was signed by Anderson in 1955 to play for the Fort Worth Baseball Club for the sum of $450 a season. He signed the contract with his full legal name "George Lee Anderson" and the signature rates a 9. The contract itself is in excellent condition and shows the expected wear of a nearly 50 year old document.
