This beautiful illustration of Roy Campanella will surely ring a bell for old Brooklyn Dodger fans. Created by sports artist Lance Richbourg, the print shows how low to the ground Campanella got when he swung his bat, his right knee nearly scraping the turf and both legs providing an anchor for a lethal cut at the pitch. The intensity in his face is as clear as the bunting-draped stands behind him. Campy signed the 18-1/4" x 34-1/4" print in black marker, with the post-accident signature rating a 9. The excellent condition print is mounted under glass in a black frame.
