The personal rivalry between Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams that raged during the 1940s was a classic war between arguably the two best hitters who ever swung a bat. Clearly, the two of them will be yoked together in history, and this pair of Hall of Fame envelopes from 1939 commemorating baseball's centennial year, is a great way to link both legends to baseball's storied history. The signatures in blue marker rate near 10s and each only slightly-yellowed envelope bears a different centennial logo and an identical first-day issue 3-cent centennial stamp.
