In 1964, the Mets moved from the Polo Grounds to their new home in Flushing. Shea Stadium was a glittering jewel among ballparks and that year's Met yearbook saluted the stadium on the cover above a Willard Mullin caricature of Casey Stengel putting out the welcome mat. The pages are filled with 19 signatures from that team of lovable losers, including Stengel, Jim Hickman, Al Jackson, Ron Hunt, Joe Christopher, and "Hot Rod" Kanehl, and trivia buffs will note Jack Fisher and Tracy Stallard, who gave up Roger Maris' 60th and 61st home runs in 1961. The signatures are in blue pen and rate 8s, 9s and near 10s and there are three lower-quality signatures in pencil on the cover. The 8-1/2" by 11" yearbook is in very good condition with a light fold mark on the cover.
