They played for five decades and were the centers of gravity around the Big Apple. While Joltin' Joe was arguably the greatest player of all time, the fabled trio of another song made New York baseball paradise in the 1950s when "Willie, Mickey and the Duke" played within 15 miles of each other. This photo was snapped when the illustrious foursome were reunited at an Old Timer's event at Shea Stadium, where Mays put in extra duty in 1972 with the Mets. The 8" x 10" photo is signed by all four in blue marker over the white of their old uniforms. These are great signatures of the illustrious group, each a near perfect 10. The photo is slightly fuzzy but it seems to radiate with history, and is mounted in a blue cardboard frame with a gold plate reading "New York's Finest" with each man's name below.
