Nolan Ryan did not quit firing his molten fastball and snakelike curve until he reached every pitcher's top milestone. On July 31, 1990, at age 43, Ryan pitched against the Milwaukee Brewers at County Stadium and came out in the eighth inning with a 5-3 lead, and when the Rangers added three more runs, Ryan easily won his 300th career game. Ryan racked up a total of 324 wins in all to go along with a 3.19 ERA and a record 5,714 strikeouts and 7 no-hitters. Ryan signed each of the six items in this framed display of memorabilia from that historic evening, including lineup cards filled out and signed by opposing managers Bobby Valentine and Tom Trebelhorn, two full grandstand tickets, an 8" x 10" color photo of Ryan unleashing a pitch on the mound, the cover of that night's Brewers' program, and a souvenir card handed out to Brewers fans reading, "I was there for Nolan Ryan's 300th Major League Win" and signed by Brewers president Allan H. Selig. Ryan's signatures are in either blue or black marker or pen, all of which are bright and crisp, rating 8- near-10s.
