This empty potato chip can is an unusual venue for one of the most compelling depictions of Muhammad Ali's tumultuous reign as heavyweight champ. The circular panorama of illustrated images of Ali in action that sprawls around a large can of Charles Chips was one of the potato chip company's "Collector Series" of the 1960s and shows Ali in various fight scenes including him standing over a fallen Sonny Liston, another of him in a red robe with his arms raised in victory, and an intense close-up of his face as he throws a punch. The can measures 10" in diameter and has a facsimile Ali signature on the lid in white against a red background. The piece is in excellent condition.
