Profound history distinguishes this rare ticket from the August 6, 1966 Muhammad Ali-Brian London heavyweight title fight at Earls Court in London, England, as it was one of Ali's personal tickets to the fight that ended when Ali KOd his tissue-skinned Brit opponent. Three weeks later Ali would ask for an exemption from military service on religious grounds, sparking the long saga that would forcibly keep him out of the ring for three and a half years and strip him of his title. Ali's name is handwritten as the recipient of the 3" x 6-1/4" ticket, which is yellow with a red stripe over the words "World Heavyweight Championship, Muhammad Ali (formerly Cassius Clay) v. Brian (British Bulldog) London." The ticket features head shots of the two fighters and on the back is "No. 71." It's in immaculate condition preserved in a plexiglass holder.
