This 4-page booklet with a cover price of 10 cents, is worth many times its weight in historical value. This program is from the very first All-Star Game on July 6, 1933 in Chicago's Comiskey Park. The All-Star Game was originally created as a one-shot event coinciding with the Chicago World's Fair. One glance at the score card shows two squads in a virtual Who's Who of baseball greatness, with Hall of Famers at almost every position. The list includes Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Al Simmons, Charlie Gehringer, Bill Dickey, Lefty Grove, Lefty Gomez, and Jimmie Foxx for the AL and Frank Frisch, Paul Waner, Bill Terry, Pie Traynor, Gabby Hartnett, Carl Hubbell, and Lefty O'Doul for the NL. In a perfect scenario, the first homer in All-Star history was clubbed by the Babe himself in the AL's 4-2 victory. The scorecard is in VG-EX condition and has some handwritten notes made by the original owner, as well as creasing on the back cover.
