One indication of how rapidly the All-Star Game burgeoned into an American institution is this program from the 1937 Game in D.C.'s Griffith Stadium. The red, white and blue cover of the program is an illustration of President Franklin D. Roosevelt holding a ball over the U.S. Capitol Building. The centerfold score card is filled in red pen, detailing the AL's 8-3 victory. The program is in VG+ condition with hardly any yellowing of the pages.
