It could be argued that Roger Clemens is the premier pitcher of our generation. Clemens is a five time Cy Young award winner and counting. In 1999, he achieved the one thing that had eluded his grasp in any of his previous 15 seasons, winning a Championship ring. Painted by renowned sports artist Leon Wolf, this 16"x 20" original oil painting depicts Clemens in his younger years as a member of the Boston Red Sox. There are two images of him on the canvas, one winding up to throw a pitch with his familiar number "21" on the back of his jersey and the other one is a portrait that captures Clemens in incredible lifelike detail. In the lower right hand corner of the painting are plaques commemorating each of his five Cy Young awards. He signed the painting in blue sharpie on a lighter area and the signature contrasts perfectly rating a 9. The painting is in overall near mint condition.
