Hank Aaron served notice that in the final decade of his nonparell career he would be treading on hallowed ground when on May 17, 1970 the 36-year-old future Hall of Famer made a twin killing, collecting his 3,000th career hit and 570th lifetime home run in the same game, a 7-6 Atlanta Braves loss to the Cincinnati Reds. This toned ONL Feeney ball is a rare find, as it was used in that historic game and has the future home run king's signature on it along with an inscription reading, "Best wishes to Herb, Hank Aaron" in pencil, which has lightened somewhat but it still quite legible, with the signature rating a 6. The date "5/17/70" is written on the sweet spot in darker pencil.
