Most of this lot of 17 assorted-size photos capture life and lunacy in the Big Apple of bygone years. There are sweeping vistas of the Statue of Liberty and a crowded Times Square, two shots (one mounted) of famous Lindy's restaurant, pictures of Ebbets Field (one mounted) from inside and above the park, and several scenes of fans running wild in the Yankee Stadium outfield, including one that Jimmy Piersall booted in the behind. There are also four rare photos of the Brooklyn Dodgers touring Japan in the 1950s, with shots of the players sightseeing, Japanese ballparks, and Jackie Robinson sliding into home. Photos are in good to excellent condition.
