Scharfman's main calling card was covering the Brooklyn Dodgers, and given his eye for drama and excitement, these 21 shots of game action makes you feel like you're in the first row at Ebbets Field. There are shots of Duke Snider crossing the plate after a homer, and being brushed back by a pitch under the chin. Others feature Reese, Gilliam, Campy and of course Jackie Robinson, who in one classic shot is being pursued in a rundown by no less than five Philadelphia Phillies. There is also a strip of negatives with a contact sheet of a later team of LA Dodgers boarding their private jet plane. Photos are very good to excellent condition.
