Long before the Fleet Center and the predecessor to the famed Boston Garden was the Boston Arena. Opening in April of 1910 the Boston Arena began it's history with an ice carnival. It has also been the home of Northeastern's hockey team since 1929, the first home for the Boston Bruins and hosted the first Celtics home game in 1946. Babe Ruth also played a scrimmage hockey game there. Boxing greats such as Jack Dempsey, Sugar Ray Robinson and Joe Louis fought there. These are three seats attached from the original Boston Arena. The three red seats numbered 1, 2 and 3 are wooden with metal arm rests. The paint has worn off on the bottom part of the seats. Used in the early 1920s these seats come from Boston's first arena that began the long history of New England sports.
