New York Ranger fans might do a double-take upon seeing this jacket that looks like Ranger apparel but it dates back to the mid-1950s when their American Hockey League farm team, the New York Rovers, wore the same colors and same decal logo design as the big club. This jacket was worn by Lorne Ferguson, who during the 1953-54 season was cut from the Boston Bruins and played with the Rovers, winning his way back to the NHL by gunning an AHL high 45 goals. The snap-front jacket is royal blue with red and white trim and on the stitched-on decal is "New York" horizontally in white and "Rovers" diagonally in red. There are American and Canadian flags stitched onto the left sleeve. The jacket is in excellent condition with wear.
