Golf great Ben Hogan was featured in this ad for Chesterfield cigarettes back when it was cool to be a tobacco pitchman. For Hogan, this was not a stretch since his chain-smoking was often seen even on the links during big tournaments. Apparently the habit did him no harm as he won 62 tour titles over his long career. The red and yellow ad reads "For You! Mildness plus no unpleasant aftertaste" on top and has a facsimile hogan signature over the words "America's Greatest Golfer." The 20" x 22" cardboard ad is framed and in excellent condition.
