Perhaps the greatest all around multi-talented athlete in the 20th century, Jim Thorpe could simply do it all. He won two gold medals at the 1912 Summer Olympics in Sweden and went on to play professional baseball and football. In 1920 he became President of the American Professional Football Association, now known as the NFL. This is a photo of the great Jim Thorpe sitting calmly with only his face visible and part of his suit and jacket. He has his hands folded and is looking straight ahead. Down by his hands he placed his signature to a friend and dated it "1952." The signature is in black fountain pen and rates a nine.
