The 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, Australia saw heroic performances by the home nation's Betty Cuthbert and America's Bobby Morrow who each won three gold medals in track. This striking brown and green press pin from the Games is a 1-1/4" x 2" oblong shaped like a track containing the Olympic flame and the 5-ring logo and bordered by the words "Olympic Games, Melbourne 1956." Attached to the pin is a green ribbon reading "press" with a red, white and blue American pin with the Olympic logo stuck onto it. While the ribbon has a few tiny perforations, the pin itself is in excellent condition.
