Dick Williams first displayed his way with a lineup card in 1967 when he took over a Boston Red Sox team that had finished in ninth place the year before and guided them to the AL pennant behind Carl Yastrzemski's Triple Crown-winning bat and Jim Lonborg's pitching mastery. He more than deserved the Sporting News AL Manager of the Year award, which came in the form of this handsome black 12" x 15" plaque featuring his silver and black image in the center. The plaque is in excellent condition with a few minor scrapes along the edges.
